The brand new book tells you everything you've ever wanted to know about the growing fictional universe of the Assassins.

Next week sees the publication of the Assassin's Creed Encyclopedia: White Edition, an exhaustive 256-page tome all about the fictional world of the games, which has been expanded through novels, comics, and films.

The gorgeous artwork within does a great job of illustrating the different eras of history shown in the game, including some fascinating glimpses into the "First Civiliziation" that mysteriously shows up throughout the series.

As a heads up, serious gamers will want to hold off on reading the new book too carefully until after playing Assassin's Creed Revelations; there are definitely some significant spoilers to be found within its pages.
