Default TapouT XT Plyo

TapouT XT Plyo

Dammit. My quadraceps were in the midst of recovering from the Warrior Dash this past weekend and today happens to be Plyo XT. Ugghhh! I get surprised because I don't even know what workout I have in the day until I am about to start. So I was wondering if this was going to be harder that P90X2 Plyocide or The Asylum's Vertical plyo. And wow I was really ... REALLY surprised.
Plyo XT is all about jumping exercises (just for those that don't know what plyometric training is). This specific workout focused on three types of moves each having their own spice to it. This workout was all about lunges, squats, and jumps. I was hanging on with the squats and jumps but my quadraceps were really hating the lunges.
The first type of lunge was a front lunge to back lunge and repeating. I was like ... ok ok I can do this. And then Karpenko switches it to static lunge pulses which was starting to make the front leg burn. I felt like I was already in trouble at this point. And THEN you move to switch lunge jumps. These moves that seemed pretty simple was just murder on my legs. I was hoping for some type of move that would be a little break for my legs and thankfully it was the skaters. But that break was gone and Karpenko starts adding a curtsy lunge with a knee strike. Every single freakin' time I heard that word "lunge" I just wanted to punch the tv screen.
