co.uk domain registrar. Suggestions?

Any suggestions for co.uk domain registration with good price plus all the basics that just work?

Am transferring my remaining .com domains to namecheap. A few providers charge 3 quid + VAT = 5.50 usd for co.uk, namecheap and godaddy want 9 usd for uk domains. This small difference adds up when multiplied up by # domains, few years.

123-reg.com seemed a possible choice and found nothing on these boards to contradict that but a google search showed up huge amounts of complaints. In that case I'll pay the extra for namecheap.

Compila.com are suggested in the 2006 thread. Less complaints about them but is that only because they are relatively tiny?

By basics I mean
- online control panel to specify nameservers
- free transfer out
- pay by paypal
- support online (hopefully never needed)
- have existed 3 years+ and are just going to plod along providing a working service, collecting renewals. I.e. not sell to the next rip-off megalomaniac shark to come along (no animosity there about current provider. :-) )

Any recommendation here?

I've been using Compila for about three years now. I have moved alot of my sites over to them now, mainly because of price (they are very cheap), but also because they have a really good support team who are happy to help.

I wouldnt use anyone else now. Give them a try.

Godaddy, I know, it charges a little higher than others, then it provide lots of flexibilities in terms of handling domain name, auction, buy sell, renewal and lot more..
