SEO for Bing

This is something I've started to look into as a side project, so far here are a couple of factors IMO that Bing places higher importance on:

- KWs in Url
- Title tag
- Content <-- which I think is or will be the key

All three are pretty obvious but again I think content is the key, this really starts right from MSN's reference that Bing is a decision engine and will give you better or at least clearer search results so there's something in their spidering that really picks up on content. LSI, natural speak or whatever is something MSN and Google have been working on and getting better at so that might be something you want to look into.

There are some big differences in Bing/Google SEO. This is especially important because Yahoo is now beginning to use some of Bing's technology.

Bing is so new and its index of the web is still so small, you may actually not even know about your site and you have no chance of exposure to organic traffic or Bing or Yahoo.
They are going after market share bigger market share.The online search business is big business and the Bing/Yahoo folks want more of it.

Make sure your content is unique. Try to make sure the title tag keyword in the link page is the same as the keyword you are targeting on your site optimized. Bing makes heavy use of XML sitemaps. Keep up to date and use a centralized index for multiple files.

Bing is usually slow at indexing, it place more emphasis on exact domain/keyword matches, IP diversity in backlinks and domain age than Google does.
