Kaien Cross Headmaster of the Cross Academy
Yuki's adoptive father, who also took Zero into his home for several years. Headmaster Cross dreams of peace between humans and vampires, and established the Night Class to promote understanding between the two races. Cross is shown to have a habit of provoking Zero and is eccentric in some ways, but he has a serious side as well. It is revealed in Chapter 27 that he is a former vampire hunter. He also seems to be close to Kaname, and knows Kaname's parents (both of whom are dead and founded the Cross Academy peace treaty), since he is indebted to them. He has always known that Yuki was a pureblood vampire, but chose not to reveal it.





Yūki Cross
Yuki Cross has no memory of her past prior to the moment she was saved from a vampire attack ten years ago. Her first memory is of a snowy day and a level E vampire appearing and attacking her. Kaname Kuran saved her.

She was adopted by the headmaster of Cross Academy. She is now a first year student in the Day Class and a member of the disciplinary committee, a prefect or "Guardian" alongside Zero, to guard the Academy's secret. Yuki believes that vampires and humans can coexist peacefully.



Zero Kiryū

Zero's family was attack by a pureblood vampire Shizuka Hio four years ago. He got bitten by Shizuka which made him slowly transform into a vampire. He was raised by the headmaster of Cross Academy. His parents are Vampire Hunters and were killed by Shizuka. He hate vampires and he want to get his revenge on Shizuka Hio.



Kaname Kuran Dorm Head President
Kaname is the President of the moon dorm. His parents were murdered by his Uncle Rido (Senri's father). Kaname cares deeply about Yuki. He and Yuki are siblings and they're engaged. He was both feared and respected by the other students of the Night Class. Purebloods inherited the powers of strong ancient vampires. Purebloods have powers to control other vampires. He is both jealous and angry of Zero for bitting Yuki, drinking her blood, and endangered her life. However, he allow Zero to live, because Zero's death will make Yuki sad.





Takuma Ichijo Dorm Head Vice-President
Takuma is the Vice President of the Moon Dorm. He's Kaname's close childhood friend. He likes to read manga. Level B vampires are noble class vampires or aristocrats. He seems to be very friendly, kind, making him appear more like a human. Takuma's grandfather, who is a member of the council and very powerful, educated him and has high expectations of him.

The reason Takuma's grandfather allowed him to come to Cross Academy was to spy on Kaname. However, Takuma does not want to hurt Kaname because they are good friends. Takuma is ordered to bring Senri Shiki (possessed by Rido Kuran) back to the academy where Rido will look for 'that child' (referring to Yuki). Though Takuma does not want to hurt Kaname by bringing Rido to the academy, he cannot refuse because he has been commanded by his grandfather to do so. He saves Rima Tohya from being killed by Rido when she confronts him to try and free Shiki and stops the fight between Rido and Kaname so that Shiki, whose body was being used by Rido, would not be hurt



Hanabusa Aido
Hanabusa Aidou is the vampire that gets into the most trouble, as from episode one he already attempts to drink Yuki Cross's blood, although her blood appears to have a strange effect on vampires. Aidou, though he may seem childish at times, can be extremely serious about things when it's the time to be. But all the rest of the time he is sly and attempts to drink day class girls' blood, although it normally ends with him being either punished by Yuki and Zero or hurt by Kaname. Although when Kaname's not around he goofs off, when he's around Aidou tries to act on his best behavior or else Kaname will slap him.


Akatsuki Kain
Nicknamed Wild by the Day Class girls, Akatsuki Kain is Hanabusa Aido's cousin and roomate. His ability is the power of fire. He seems to have feelings for Ruka. His carefree attitude gets both him and Aidou in trouble at times.



Senri Shiki

One of the youngest Night Class members. When the Night Class is given orders to hunt down a level E vampire, Shiki is usually the one we see out hunting the level E vampires. He has a whip-like weapon which develops from his blood. His father is Rido Kuran (Kaname's uncle), thus making him, Kaname and Yuki's cousin, and his mother's uncle is part of the council.




Ruka Souen
A female vampire popular with the Day Class students and one of those who are the most faithful and protective of Kaname. She seems to dislike Yuki because Kaname loves her. It was expressed in a flashback that even before she met Kaname, she had always had feelings for him to the extent of wanting to give him her blood. Although Ruka has strong feelings for Kaname, he does not reciprocate them. He only drank her blood one time to protect Yuki from his urge to bite her, and has since politely refused to drink it.




Rima Touya
One of the youngest Night Class students. She works as a model alongside Senri Shiki. Her exact relationship with Shiki is unknown, though they are almost always seen together, signifying a very close relationship, maybe even romantic. She also cares deeply for Shiki and possesses a personality almost similar to his.

I love vampire knight. zero and yuki could be together 4 ever. Kaname is really insidious, but can not be trusted and I love him. I do not think I will hurt Kaname Yuki. hey, vol volume five, but so far only the United States on January 3 next year or are coming out in February of 2008, volume 4 came out already.

I think they called the cause of "Vampire Knight" may be the end of the manga and anime I've heard that the night class (which r vampires) protected class days of being received by evil vampires and the proportion of zero and Yuki are the guardians to protect the secrecy of night class, vampires.

I love vampire knight. Zero and Yuki to be together 4 ever. kaname is indeed insidious, can not be trusted, but I like it too. I do not think kaname yuki damage. hey theft is five years and so far, but the volume of the United States is released only 3 Volume 4 comes out next year in January or February 2008.

I am a big fan of Vampire Knight and Vampire Knight guilty, 'gerçekten, and is still waiting on the 3rd season. Please to crush my hopes and dreams, but still honest opinion.
