I have decided to make 2 more skins, but wanted to make them look more professional. This required that I have better graphics software then the 'low-brow' stuff I've been using. However, I realized I don't want to to spend the money on the expensive stuff. So, I went looking for freeware...I found some.

Many of you may already be aware of this software, this is for those that aren't:

For all Windows OS including Vista (I have Vista HP on my PC and I have used all the below.)
Scanned and checked for any spyware, viruses, rootkits or tracking software and all came up free and clean. I also did not have to register for any of them or give up my e-mail address.

This is all freeware (some open-source), NOT trailware or shareware. They're free for life.

My Take: Outstanding freeware, not quite Photoshop, but way cheaper
Has many available plug-ins for special effects, including the ability to make icons, works quick and easy.

GIMP

My Take: Almost as good as Paint.Net, but I just like Paint.net better. Very good software though. I have both GIMP and Paint.net on my PC

My Take: Not as useful as Sqirlz Lite, but lots of fun to use and again amazingly useful and powerful for such a simple thing.
