This posting is really useful and an instructive one. I have read a full article and believe me I am impressed and some of the points I came to know at that moment. But I heard that battery life is only for 2 years or 3 years maximum.

Thanks for sharing the useful information. I also plug i the laptop for charging only when it was about to discharge & remove the plug when it is fully charged.

I think it depends on how you use the laptop. You can reduce the brightness on some things to save battery life.
Have power settings to kick in after a few minutes and not 30 or 60 mins... if your using it it won't matter, but as soon as you stop, you may as well have power settings kick in.
