Hi Spiral!

I'm trying to revive my 5070, after it turned dead for no reason. Now if i switch it on it makes a blank screen, a blue screen, some noise and that is it, turns back off again.
So I started off as you said, step by step. the P didnt ask for a dongle, and runs perfect.

I also downloaded the firmware file - RM-166... .
From the menu i selected Open Product, rm-166 and there came the problem:
in the bottom status line it said no product. I tried and copied the firmware file into the installation directory, then into virtually every sub-directory. Still no good.

After this I decided to carry on, so Flash, Flash firmware.
in the top line it wanted me to select product code or version not sure now, bcs it is on a different computer, but the line was dark, no options. so i clicked on the "..." button, selected "auto detect" which said cannot. After this I tried just to check the "Dead phone flash" box, and start refurb/restore, which refused to do anything bcs of missing product code/version.
I tried to run the firmware "exe" it said sthg like it first have to be installed,
I tried to unpack the exe and copy the contents into various sub-directories of Phoenix, still no success.

I would really appreciate some help after this, bcs i just cant think of anything else to try.
