The Dave King Trucking Company is the latest incarnation in King's pursuit of adventurous music that really grabs listeners. Best known for his groundbreaking work with the Bad Plus and Happy Apple, King has once again assembled an amazing group of musicians, including guitarist Erik Fratzke (Happy Apple), bassist Jason Lind (Fat Kid Wednesdays), and saxophonists Chris Speed (Tim Berne, Claudia Quintet) and Brandon Wozniak, for the group's inaugural release, Good Old Light (Sunnyside, 2011).
