How to remove windows 7 password?

How do i get rid of my startup password on my pc?
i just found my old computer in the garage, i got it fixed up and everything, plugged it in and boom! it said i needed a password. i forgot the password months ago, i cant get past the password screen, i cant access control panel or anything on my desktop, just the dreaded ENTER PASSWORD HERE, is there any way i can disable the password from the ENTER PASSWORD screen, and if so, PLEASE HELP!!!! First: Check if the caps lock has been turned on - if it hasn't - type the password in one key at a time with one finger, slowly - I've found out that I had my fingers off one key on one hand, which made me enter the wrong password by whatever keys were being typed by that hand.

Second: If the first one doesn't work - try using F8 to get into Safe Mode to see if you can remove the password.
