2009 Mazda MX-5 goes on sale in Japan

The 2009 Mazda MX-5 Roadster (known as the Mazda Roadster in Japan) has gone on sale in the Japanese market today. We highly doubt that you care that the car is on sale in Japan now, but we get a bunch of new images with the new press release.
Suggested retail price for the 2009 Mazda MX-5 ranges from 2,330,000 ($25,331 USD) to 2,600,000 ($28,263 USD) yen for the soft top models and from 2,680,000 ($29,122 USD) to 2,950,000 ($32,053 USD) yen for the Power Retractable Hard Top (RHT) models.
No significant changes to the 2.0L engine were made besides rev limits which have been increased from 6,700 to 7,000 rpms at the speed which the engine delivers maximum power. Total rpms have been increased by 500 for a total of 7,500 rpms.
