Control the server remotely. The web server can now be started from the mymobilesite.net portal with a one-click link. A running server can be stopped from the mobile site settings page. This means you can start the server whenever you need it, even without physical access to the device (such as when using it as a remote surveillance camera). The mobile site offline page now has a tool for sending a notification email to the site owner.

Based on user feedback adding and modifying of access rights has been made significantly easier. There is a new combined Access rights web page under mobile site settings. Now it's easy to see in one look which users have access to which content.

Mobile Web Server now takes full advantage of intelligent network handling available in S60 3rd. Edition, Feature Pack 2 devices. For example connecting to a WLAN network is done automatically without user actions. This ensures Mobile Web Server is always using the best option for network connectivity, based on user's preferences.

There is a new content RSS feed added into mymobilesite.net gateway. This fully configurable feed can include content from the device such as location, photos or blog entries. This enables automatic sharing of contextual information on 3rd party services such as Jaiku or Google Reader. The feed is always available regardless of mobile site status, and is updated whenever the mobile site is online and there is new content. Sharing your personal discoveries has never been this easy.

Mobile Web Server New Major Update Available

Mobile Web Server 1.5 beta has been released and brings lot of improvements including, easier access rights management, intelligent network handling, significantly improved RSS feeds for effortless sharing and many bug fixes and improvements! The new RSS feed is really something to check out. With that you can share content, contextual information or even your own custom feed if you have one.

Because the feed is put together and served via the mymobilesite.net service, it is always available even when your site is down. You will find the feed by logging in at mymobilesite.net, and navigating to Edit account -> Feed settings. There are some defaults set up, but you should tune it to your liking.
