Page Rank, Linking to and from other sites?

Could someone explain to me about Page Rank (PR) My PR is 0, how do i increase this?

I am also interested to know about linking to other sites with good PR? To be honest i dont really understand any of the above.

Any help on how to achieve a good PR and how to go about it would be great!

Broadly speaking you need to attract inbound links from high quality, relevant websites.

The best ways to do that are:

1) Have great content and keep it up to date.
2) Participate in the communities of your customers and those who you would like to link to you.

Become known for your knowledge and content and you will get links.

You should restrict linking to other sites. Only link to the very best relevant websites. If your Pagerank is 2 or below then don't link out to any other websites yet.

This is the key, more and more important these days. If this is the way, you might want to consider twice in the exchange of links. From the relevant sites link to your site is preferred because it can help strengthen your website theme, you may put some useful traffic your way.
